Vestibular Assessment & Treatment
If you are experiencing new or old dizziness of any kind, for any reason - consider a vestibular assessment
First and foremost ‘vertigo’ is NOT a diagnosis, it is a symptom. If you have ever sought medical attention because you were dizzy, and were told you “had vertigo” this raises more questions than it answers.
During a detailed vestibular assessment we will look to find out WHY you are experiencing dizziness. This will include a detailed assessment of your visual, vestibular, and proprioception systems.
Once we have an idea of your why, and where the deficits are I will make a personalized and detailed treatment plan. Treatment plans can include in clinic exercises, home exercises and manual therapy.
Additionally if you have been given any of the diagnoses below, VRT can also help with managing or eliminating symptoms!
Conditions VRT can help with:
Concussion
Whiplash
Meneire’s Disease
Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
Persistant Postural Positional Dizziness (PPPD)
Vestibular Migraine (VM)
Labyrinthitis
Vestibular Neuritis
and more…
